Dirty Rotten Scoundrels: Promo

Northern Lehigh Little Theatre proudly presents Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, a 2004 musical adaptation of the hit 1988 film starring Michael Caine and Steve Martin. The comedic stage show centers on two con men living on the French Riviera. Lawrence Jameson makes his lavish living by talking rich ladies out of their money. Freddy Benson more humbly swindles women by waking their compassion with fabricated stories about his grandmother's failing health. After meeting on a train, they attempt to work together only to find that this small French town isn't big enough for the two of them. They agree on a settlement: the first one to extract $50,000 from a young female target, heiress Christine Colgate, wins and the other must leave town. A hilarious battle of cons ensues that will keep audiences laughing, humming and guessing to the end!

Directed by Mr. Nicholas Sander, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels stars Aidan Burke as Freddy Benson and Gavin Fricker as Lawrence Jameson, with Alexis Middaugh in the role of Christine Colgate. Additional leads include Nate Rex as Andre Thibault, Kasey Wayda as Jolene, and Dian McKinney as Muriel Eubanks, with supporting roles from Lydia DeLong, Jamie Miller, Kelcie Kramer, Brie Williams, and Sara Hunsicker. Based on the film Dirty Rotten Scoundrels originally written by Dale Launer and Stanley Shapiro & Paul Henning, the musical was written for the stage by Jeffrey Lane with music & lyrics by David Yazbek.
