The Class of 2010 Opening Titles
The intent of the opening title sequence for "The Class of 2010" was to take the concept of a "video yearbook" to a whole new level. Forty-eight senior class members volunteered to showcase their unique personalities as they were filmed against a white backdrop, simulating the look of a school portrait come to life.
The sequence was created in Adobe AfterEffects, utilizing 3D text and particle animation to create the effect of thousands of wallet-size photographs flooding the frame and falling away to reveal of the film's logo. The opening titles — which amount to less than a minute of screen time — took three months to complete but set an extremely impressive tone for the entire production.
